Kinder Realm - Exquisite, whimsical environments and educational tools for children and adolescents.

Whimsical environments, fine furnishings and learning tools for the young at heart

After 25 years of teaching situations, mainly in Colorado mountain towns ... while continuing my woodwork in earnest during the summers ... I returned to woodwork full-time in 2009.  I began Kinder Realm intending to inspire children into learning through their immediate, home environments - building magical, ultra comfortable cottages that are kid-sized and yet complex in the kids' ability to manipulate the surroundings - to make it a personal living space.

I then added surrounding furniture pieces - dressers, desks, work stations - building in a little magic (secret compartments and trick openings) and adorning everything with carvings and paintings.

I have shown my work in two American Crafts Council shows in San Francisco and St. Paul, and in the Smithsonian Craft Show in DC.

Today, Kinder Realm is essentially a custom shop … designing both indoor and outdoor furniture and architectural components (doors, playhouses, garden structures,) I am still stretching the 'norm' and bringing aspects art into every situation. Ever and always trying to inspire creative lifestyles.
